To shoot a wedding is to be part of a meaningful celebration of love.
It’s an honour, it really is; what other occasion squeezes
all the brilliant things in life into one day?
Excitement and anticipation, love and joy, tears and laughter, crazy dance floor moves from uncle Jack and the touching
romance of a hand tying ceremony. These unique emotions and events translate into powerfully emotive images.
The Before Bit
Initially we exchange a few emails, you fill in a lovebirds form, I get to know you a little, we Skype and work out which package would suit your plans and then we are ready steady go! Following your initial booking we set a date to meet close to your wedding, even better if you have chosen a package that includes a pre- wedding couple shoot. This meeting helps to put to rest any concerns you may have, we hang out and chat, go for coffee and I give you as much info as I can on what to expect, you share with me all of your plans and vision for your day and most importantly we do the people connecting thing so that by the end of the meeting you feel fully confident that your new mate , Jo the photographer is going to put her heart and soul into documenting your wedding day in the most honest, fresh, creative way possible.
How it Flows
For lets say 70 per cent of the day, I work discretely capturing moments that unfold naturally. No two weddings are ever the same, so I try not to have any fixed idea about how its going to flow. I work intuitively, guided by what I feel as much as what I see. I love to capture emotion, (hilarity and tears) movement and mood so that your love is documented in a touching way. The remaining thirty per cent is a little more guided with a few bridal and groom portraits, a couple shoot (always a very special part of every wedding day but of course not obligatory) and the family and group shots which can be really good fun. They don’t have to take very long and these are the ones that grandma loves and that gather so much meaning to families over time. If you have me on a super duper documentary package I will be with you through the getting ready, ceremony, aperitif, dinner, cake cutting, the fun first dance and into your party. Some couples even book me for the pre wedding dinner and the post wedding celebrations.
The After Bit
Your Images go through an extensive editing process taking into consideration the unique mood of your day. Each picture is individually edited and your photos are presented to you as a visual story on your own personal online gallery. The gallery is linked to a professional print service for yourselves and your family to order prints and your high res files are made easily downloadable just for you!
You will also find of a big and wonderful choice of fine art photo albums, wedding magazines and prints that you can purchase post wedding and I will happily design for you. Oh and did I mention that I love to create fun highlight slideshows for my couples with the key images moments of your day.
Where?
I am a destination wedding photographer! which means all locations go! As an experienced traveller I love a bit of adventure and I am pretty much up for capturing your wedding anywhere.

My home from home destinations are Sitges, Spain, the Costa Brava, and the South of France and of course the Uk, from London all the way up to Yorkshire.

The images of your wedding day are the gift to yourself that will just keep on giving and become ever more precious over time. Images aside my pricing is also based on how much effort and care I put into getting to know you and capture your day in a way that absolutely represents who you are. The 3 packages below include pretty much everything however you can use them as a base and we can build your own bespoke package.
You can add hours, to your wedding day coverage, couple shoots, pre and post wedding party coverage, second photographers and videographers and a drone for a completely bespoke package.
Heads up! I accept only 30 weddings a year and spaces fill quickly so please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

The Documentary Experience
This package is often the most suitable and preferred choice for destination wedding couples. It is also the way I love to work. Full day coverage from getting ready to first dance and beyond. Nothing is missed so you have a beautiful photo story of your day and as a nice big plus, the adventure/engagement shoot is added in or you can use those hours for the day after wedding party.
This is the basic package for weddings further afield and you can add a flight fee and accomodation to the package

The Reportage Package
This is the perfect package for slightly more intimate weddings with shorter timelines where no more than 8 hours of coverage is needed. It includes all the essentials, a little bit of getting ready and right up to the cutting of the cake. A little couple shoot is included along with a super cool and modern wedding magazine set.

The Short Story Package
An all about the love and less about the stuff package. Ideal for particularly intimate weddings where only coverage of the ceremony, reception and a little couple shoot is required. With your five hours coverage you can choose what’s most important to you and that is what I cover! If you are eloping for a romantic urban ceremony or maybe an adventure elopement where its just you two and your celebrant, then this is the perfect package for you.

Adventure/Engagement Shoot Package
An adventurous shoot for a pre-wedding or engagement occasion - this could be anything from a secluded romantic beach shoot in the Costa Brava, a countryside shoot in the hills of shropshire, a beautiful cultural setting like Gaudi’s Parc Güell in Barcelona or a cool urban city shoot in London.
I love these shoots and highly recommend them to all my wedding couples, especially camera shy folk many of whom are surprised to find it a fun, romantic and beautiful experience.
I am interested in what kind of people you are, your interests, your particular story together, how you met, what you love about each other and so on. This ensures the shoot will be meaningful to you and from that we come up with a combination of locations that provide the perfect environment for you to be together. Each shoot is unique and we plot it out together, while at the same time leaving room for spontaneity and A cafe stop along the way!
If I am flying out to you for your destination wedding these shoots are a wonderful way to capture the memories of the location and scenery of where you were married and we go on a little adventure in the days before your wedding.

Local Couple Shoot Package
This one is for all the lovers not just the soon to be wed but any couple wishing to have some beautiful pics that celebrate connection. you may be on holiday visiting Sitges or Barcelona or having a weekend in London, perhaps already married and celebrating a special anniversary.
If in Sitges or Barcelona I show you around some of my fave local cafe and beach spots and you get to experience the town like a local while having your photo taken in a very inobtrusive way, resulting in natural true to you images
I share tips on how to relax in front of the camera and give you a little guidance if needed (my years on the other side of the camera do help with that a lot) but really really! No posing skills are required, love does its thing and my job is to capture how that love looks and feels between you both.

Our online gallery shop has lots of choices including magazines, lovely deckled style prints and beautiful fine art albums which can be chosen in hard-back, leather, velevet or linen. These products can be created straight from the site or we can help you design them personally. Prices begin at £10 for items such as prints and gallery boards to £395 for fine art albums.
