Tiny summary of my first communication with Holly and Dan which got me very excited about capturing their wedding day. I am passionate about sustainability in the wedding sector. Many couples flying in for a destination wedding can feel that organising from abroad is enough to do. Holly and Dan however managed to pull off some really lovely little “Green” additions that added so much personal meaning to their day and saved them a bit of money too.
The Venue
Casa Felix is a beauty of a venue, panoramic views, nestled at the foot of a picturesque tiny Spanish village surrounded by vineyards and endless nature. A favourite for its incredible light and beautifully decorated interiors. Jane, the friendliest and most accommodating wedding venue owner ever, has impeccable taste, a killer eye for antiques and is a dab hand at up-cycling - resulting in a uniquely beautiful decadent yet homely wedding venue.
I am blessed to work there often ,shooting at least 10 weddings each season and It never disappoints!
Holly and Dan were such An amazing big hearted couple with great energy and fantastic chemistry, it was a joy to capture their wedding and be a part of a their beautifully thought out, intimate celebration.

“Dan made our wedding cake( all three tiers were gluten free)which I decorated in the morning with the help of my dad and advice from Marie our florist”
TADA the perfect wedding cake was born, it was definitely one of my fave moments to capture and made for a very special cake cutting moment too.!

A little bit of history in the form of old love letters tucked away in a secret draw and the vintage chess board (which I love) made the perfect frame for Holly and Dans rings .

Hollys Top D.IY and Sustainable Tips
“We created programmes for the weekend(including a timetable of events, key info and even a crossword about us) We made the menus and various signs, guest book etc and I made the reserved signs for the ceremony.
In order to cut down on paper, we put most of the info on our wedding website and sent our save the date by text! We also chose to print a small number of menus instead of one per person.

Where are the rings…..
I absolutely love this pic of Holly - the rings had not made it to the best man! although a bit of a “Oh no” moment the rings were speedily retrieved by my assistant and it prompted a lot of laughs and the celebrants,( Dans brother and Hollys close friend) did an amazing job of making everyone feel at ease.
Often it is the tiny unplanned moments and slip ups that become the most memorable!

You can never have two much confetti..
Totally loved this confetti entrance! 60 guests spread the length of the courtyard all the way up to the entrance doors for dinner. I do love an alternative and this was a brilliant moment with the extra bonus of Holly and Dan having a little walk round their beautiful wedding tables before everyone caught up with them.

Hollys Top Tips for a beautiful dining lay out
“The seating plan was one of my fave things and turned out so much better than I had hoped.
I designed the wax stamp and had that made and then I hand wrote each of the escort cards and name places for the tables, including wax sealing each one with our personalised stamp.
The seating plan was created using sticks from my parents garden, which we brought to Spain and then decorated with local foliage my Dad picked up on his morning run!My Dad and I assembled the seating plan The morning of the wedding which was a lovely thing to do together.
